Own the business your career has prepared you for.

After years of building a career inside someone else's organisation, many people reach the same conclusion: the next business they build should be their own. I help you find the right franchise, test it properly, and buy with your eyes open, so you can realise the ownership dream on solid ground.

What I Do

A considered way to buy a business

Buying a franchise is one of the largest decisions most people make. My role is to bring structure, honest assessment, and an experienced second set of eyes to that decision, from the first conversation to the moment you sign, or decide not to.

01

Start with you, not a list

We begin with your profile: your skills and experience, the capital you can invest, the territory you want, and the life you want the business to support. The match is built around that profile, never the other way around.

02

A shortlist worth your time

Through the IFPG network I have access to more than 600 franchise brands across sectors and investment levels. I research them against your profile and introduce you only to the ones that genuinely fit.

03

Due diligence, guided

I help you work through the research properly: the disclosure documents, the numbers, calls with the franchisor and with people who already own the business. You will know what you are buying before you buy it.

Who This Is For

Made for a second career, built on the first

Most of the people I work with are leaving established careers: corporate roles, the public service, and the military. They bring real strengths to business ownership: leadership, discipline, operational experience, and a clear sense of what they want the next twenty years to look like. What they usually do not have yet is a reliable way to sort hundreds of franchise offerings and tell a sound opportunity from a well-marketed one.

That sorting is the work. If you are approaching the end of a career and want your experience and your savings working in a business of your own, this process was designed for you.

The Process

Four steps to the right franchise

The matching process works much like an executive search, except the outcome is a business you own rather than a job you take.

1

Getting to Know You

A first conversation about your background, your career, and what you want business ownership to give you.

2

An In-Depth Consultation

A closer look at your skills, investment range, territory, and the hours and income the business needs to deliver.

3

Selecting Your Franchise

I research the network against your profile and present a shortlist, with the reasoning behind each introduction.

4

Conducting Research and Due Diligence

Structured research into the finalists, so your decision rests on evidence rather than enthusiasm.

The Network

More than 600 brands, one right match

As a member of the International Franchise Professionals Group (IFPG), I can introduce you to more than 600 franchise brands, across sectors and investment levels, with territories available across Canada and the United States. The catalogue is not the point, though. The point is matching one of those brands to your skills, your capital, and the working life you actually want. More about opportunities →

A note on how I am paid. There is no charge to you for this service. I am compensated by the franchisor if you proceed with a franchise we find together. That arrangement never changes the advice you get: my work is to help you find a business that fits, and that includes telling you when one does not.

Start with a conversation

The first step is a consultation about where you are, what you are considering, and whether franchise ownership fits at all. No pressure, and no obligation to go further.
